Early Landsknechts

Landsknechts for the period 1490 - 1518 (ish). In this very early period Landsknechts served almost exclusively in the armies of the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I, who raised them as mercenary bands in the late 15th Century. These minis will be suitable for Maximilian Imperial armies until his death in 1518, and are also suitable for others mercenaries in the pay of France, Florence, or the Papacy in the early 16th Century.

All these excellent 28mmm miniatures were sculpted by Nick Collier.

It is our intention to release four packs of new miniatures along with a couple of packs of command, and a couple of packs of arquebusiers to accompany them, in March or early April 2016.

Nice! How about a late landsknechts (in pants "Plüderhausen")? I really like your miniatures. But early landsknechts do many manufacturers.

Most manufacturers' early landsknechts are from the far more flamboyant 1520s and 1530s. I have been waiting over 30 years for landsknechts circa 1510 and at last they have arrived. I think Dmitry is looking for Landsknechts from the 1550s onwards that took part in the French Wars of Religion amongst other conflicts.

They look great. Any ETA on a release date for them?

Jim

HI Jim,

We have to added Command groups and Arquebusiers to them first, another 4 packs at least and then they are planned for release in the July or August.
